With a furious mixture of fast punk-rock-riffs, pop melodies and choruses to sing along, THE GRANDTRY cause each stage to quake.

Their energetic shows leave no unaffected one in the audience! Now, with their new EP 'Bravery For The Weakest' these five musicians start a new chapter in the band's history, in corporation with their new partner Redfield Digital.

Following the device 'Everything starts with a try!' the pop-punk band was founded in fall 2008 under the name THE GRANDTRY and after some time it proved a solid cast out. The songs got harder and more complex and the quintet from the Westerwald (Rhineland-Palatinate) traveled restlessly through the nation to expand their fanbase.

2011 was an absolutely turbulent and successful year for the band. They not only caught the attention of the audience at certain gigs and festivals, the guys also reached the finals of the new- comer contest 'Rock Buster' with their EP 'A Giant With Dropped Down Pants'. In a soldout venue they played a spectacular show and were finally celebrated as one of the best three bands by the end of the evening.

In the upcoming year, THE GRANDTRY had the great honor to write an anthem for the well-established Mair One Festival in Montabaur. Featuring guest musicians from the local scene, the 'Mair1 Anthem' was published and presented for the first time at the Festival.

Motivated by their success, The Grandtry didn't rest, but wrote new songs in spring 2012. Directly afterwards the musicians went into the studio to record the EP 'For Bravery The Weakest'. Their sound developed and refined even more. What initially was founded as a punk-rock band now started to get more influences from the genres alternative, hardcore and metal.
