Let the story begin: Once upon a time, in 2011, a young post-hardcore band formed under the name YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE in Instanbul, Turkey. For the start, they released a cover for KESHA's song “Take it off” and reached 145k views on YouTube straightaway. After they had released their first EP “The Wretched” (including the songs “Let Me Go”, “Nightmare” and “In My Eyes”), they had great experiences at their first live performances, including festivals and even a show where they shared stage with MEMPHIS MAY FIRE. “Music,Party,MOSH” – that’s how they explain their live performances.

In April 2014, YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE went on tour in Russia-Belarus and Ukraine. Another awesome experience for them, as it was their first foreign tour and they had the chance to meet a lot of new fans in Russia.

After the tour, YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE returned to Turkey and recorded their new single “Enough is Enough”. For mix and mastering they worked together with Andrea Fusini (UPON THIS DAWNING) and the accompanying video clip got over 20k views to this day. “Enough Is Enough” is meant to be the beginning of YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE’s first album. Right now they’re working hard on recording new material and just released “Money”, a new song from the upcoming album along with a new music video clip. For the realisation of the visuals, they cooperated with The Shadow Born Group (USA).

YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE just went straight to the third place in the competition for a slot on the Groezrock festival and they will play the Macbeth Stage at May 1. After the festival, the band plans to continue with its touring activities touring and wants play as many shows as it can get!
