VIA is a unique music project, brought to life by Max Rosenthal, guitarist of DESASTERKIDS, and Florian Findeis. The artist duo stands behind the sound, the look and the content of VIA, but it’s not their voices you can hear on the project‘s debut EP "Hybrid Identity". With support of the singers of ANNISOKAY, Christoph Wiezcorek was also responsible for the production, NOVELISTS, KEEP IT FOR TOMORROW, DESASTERKIDS or THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE they created powerful vocals and gave every single song a personal touch with their own unmistakeable sounds. For listeners of these bands it will be a whole new experience, listening to their idols on these outstanding tunes.

There is a concept and an ambitioned idea behind “Hybrid Identity”, like the band states in its own words

“Life is all about finding ourselves. Finding out who we are, needs no strength or will, just time. That's why we breathed life into this project. Our personalities are all a product of our history and the things we have experienced. It's not possible to hide our characteristics. But we can choose who we want to be, through our intimacy with others. With the support of various international artists we tried to illustrate this phenomenon musically. We put our heart and souls into this project. We hope that every song will represent each of our artists and their personalities.”

One vision, two musicians, a one year-lasting writing process and six voices from all over the world brought four different songs into being. Held together by impressive custom-made visualizations for each song done by two design artists. With all these influences of great partners, it was possible to create music that crosses genres.

The brainchild of two musicians is becoming very vivid: “Hybrid Identity” by VIA is out May 8, 2015 worldwide on Redfield Digital and the first song “Dark Haze” is making its way through the Net as we speak.
