SHELL BEACH are a post-hardcore band from Budapest, Hungary. They have released two full-length albums, the debut “Acronycal” on Edge Records and the second album “This Is Desolation” as well as the brand new EP “Changes x Restless x Faithless” on Redfield Digital.

SHELL BEACH were founded by long-time friends in 2006. The band name was inspired by the unreachable paradise destination from the movie “Dark City”. With the members each having played in bands from the Budapest underground scene, the idea for starting a band together arose mutually. The post-hardcore/alternative outfit grew fast the following years. The debut record was released in 2007. The ten tracks showed that the band takes pride in their musical roots like GLASSJAW, DEFTONES or REFUSED. The first music video from the band for the song "Are We OK?" debuted on MTV in 2008.

Touring helped to mature the band's sound and “This Is Desolation”, SHELL BEACH’s second album, was released in March 2013. The elven-song record was the work of two years and featured Matt Geise of LOWER DEFINITION (Ferret)/DANCE GAVIN DANCE (Rise Records) and Zeek as special guest vocalists in two of the songs. The record helped Shell Beach get further established as the most prominent band of the Hungarian and Budapest post-hardcore scene.

SHELL BEACH embarked on a European tour with THE SOUTHERN ORACLE and also played the Belgian GROEZROCK festival after being voted into the selection online by fans. After getting their batteries charged by supporting ENTER SHIKARI on their European tour in 2014 the band got back to the rehearsal space to start working on new songs. The five-track EP “Changes x Restless x Faithless” is the band’s latest offering and encompasses a brand new phase for SHELL BEACH coming out with an ever more bold and mature sound.
